1. To present the real presence of  Jesus and the true meaning of the Eucharist 
2. To present the Gospel of the Lord to our children in age appropriate lessons
3. To teach the importance of Mass attendance
4. To encourage ongoing Faith Formation

FAMILY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. To be actively involved in your child’s Faith Formation
2. Family attendance at the 10 am Sunday Mass at St. Francis Xavier is mandatory . This is what our Catholic Faith is based upon.
3. Understanding the priority of the program .Weekly class attendance is mandatory.  No more than 3  unexcused absences are permitted.

MATERIALS NEEDED TO REGISTER

1. Child’s Baptism Certificate  (If your child is not Baptized, we can arrange it)
2. $150 Registration Fee ( 30 classes at $5.00 a class)

Youth Faith Formation Classes

Program Outline

The real presence of Jesus in the Eucharist and receving Jesus in
the Sacrament of Holy Communion, is our main focus of all levels
throughout the program. Gospel values inform everything we do ,
and so we teach our children about the principles and practice of
our Catholic faith through age-appropriate religious instruction.
Beginner Levels
Level 1               God Our Creator
                           First Holy Communion Prep

Level 2               Reconciliation
                           First Holy Communion Prep

 Must complete both level 1 and 2 to receive the Sacrament of First Holy
Communion and to move on to the next level

Intermediate Levels
Level 3               Becoming part of a faith community

Level 4               Morality
                           10 Commandments
                           Beatitudes

Level 5               Sacraments
                           Building a close relationship with God

  All intermediate levels must be completed to move on to level 6

Junior High Levels
Level 6                Old and New Testament
                             Confirmation Prep

Level 7                 Social and Spiritual Growth
                             Confirmation Prep

All levels must be completed to Receive the Sacrament of Confirmation
